This wondrous mountain environment provides more than just aesthetic beauty. It is also home to a variety of wildlife that thrives here as a part of the Greater-Yellowstone Ecosystem, which is one of the world’s largest intact mid-latitude temperate ecosystems.
We’ll be on the lookout for elk, bison, and pronghorn as well as wolves, bear, moose, Bald eagle, fox, and Osprey, among others. Spring is calving season, and autumn brings the rut and winter preparations for the wildlife here, so regardless of which season you choose, the animals will be quite active for elk and bears alike, among others.
