While traveling to Grand Teton National Park over the years as a part of our hugely popular Yellowstone & Grand Teton tours, we often were left thinking that Grand Teton National Park might be a bit too grand to not have its own dedicated tour.
So, naturally, we did something about it and put together an exciting itinerary, that we’ll run in both spring and autumn, focused exclusively on the wonders of Grand Teton. Introducing Backcountry Journeys’ newest addition; Grand Teton National Park. Landscape and wildlife photographers alike are sure to enjoy this exciting lodge-based tour as we’ll spend our days seeking out the glorious landscapes and compelling wildlife found here.
You can look forward to epic golden hour shoots at different well-scouted scenes inside the park, all featuring the towering Teton Range, and the esthetic nature surrounding it, as our backdrop. We’ll hit the iconic locations such as Oxbow Bend, Snake River Overlook, Schwabacher’s Landing, and the T.A. Moulton Barn to provide you the images you know you want, as well as lesser-known scenes to snag images you didn’t even know existed. Spring will provide for beautiful blooms, autumn falling leaves, and colors in the trees.
This wondrous mountain environment provides more than just aesthetic beauty. It is also home to a variety of wildlife that thrives here as a part of the Greater-Yellowstone Ecosystem, which is one of the world’s largest intact mid-latitude temperate ecosystems.
We’ll be on the lookout for elk, bison, and pronghorn as well as wolves, bear, moose, Bald eagle, fox, and Osprey, among others. Spring is calving season, and autumn brings the rut and winter preparations for the wildlife here, so regardless of which season you choose, the animals will be quite active for elk and bears alike, among others.
Grand Teton National Park is famous for the density of its wildlife, and for its striking mountain beauty. We will focus on both for the entirety of this exceptional 5-day tour.
